Dr. Pamela Walden, Ed.D, LMT, NCBTMB

Dr. Walden graduated from the Natural Health Institute in Bowling Green, KY and Nashville, TN in 2005 and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She holds three degrees, including a doctorate in dance. Certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), Pam has practiced in Anchorage Alaska, Columbus and St. Simons Island, Georgia. Her massage work is informed by her forty-year career as a professional dancer and dance educator. Following a dance injury, she was drawn to massage to deepen her understanding of body mechanics. In addition to her massage practice, Dr. Walden has incorporated massage and dance anatomy in her university teaching to promote care and awareness of injuries and wellness practices among her students. 

Pam is a highly qualified somatic educator who has studied the connections between the physical and psychological aspects of the human body. She has worked with leading somatic teachers throughout her career including practitioners in Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement, EastWest Somatics and Laban Bartenieff Fundamentals. Pam brings her diverse background to her practice and is sensitive to each client’s needs.
